Immunizations

In Georgia, the law states that all students who attend school must have a correct and up to date immunization form in their file at school. The Clarke County Health Department and the State Public Health Department audits kindergarten and sixth grade immunizations each year, and with the NEW REQUIREMENT FOR ENTRY TO SCHOOL FALL OF 2007 we decided it was crucial to bring this community a seminar explaining the immunization requirements in the state of Georgia, and especially the new requirement. From now on, any child entering kindergarten, 6th grade, or a Georgia school for the first time is required to have a second dose of the Varicella (chicken pox) vaccine or proof of disease documented by a doctor or proof of immunity by a blood test.
The Clarke County Health Department will present a seminar on July 10th explaining the new Immunization requirements for children attending schools in Georgia.
Free Childcare and Free Refreshments will be served!
